I've tried figuring this out for jen, and it's starting to...ruin my sunny disposition. IS there a way to make all previous posts friends-only w/o having to manually edit them individually?

I found a perl script that claims it can, but trying that has only succeeded in making me feel dumb...

not that I am aware of. I downloaded Semagic, which makes it easier to mark as Friends only, but you still have to edit each one. :P

Also, I set my default to Friends Only so I never accidentally post public. To do that, I would have to post it and go back and change the security level on it. ;)

Hrm, ok. We use semagic now, but..i guess i'm just lazy.

There should be a pretty windows interface for everything!

There should be a global option, but That could be dangerous. Like accidentally delteing yor entire journal only to regret it instantly. ;)

It took me a month or so to get through my wordy-ass journal. I did as many entries as I could stand every day. :P

hmm. you seemed to have commented on my comment in schwa242's journal. the thing about schwa is that he's my bestest friend in the whole wide world and i trust him with my life. and i am to him also, regardless of what his wife might think ;) i don't think that extends to the friends he deems worthy to share his life with, BUT you do indeed have a Hewlett and Martin thing going for you ( ... )
