Got sick slowly over the week. xtheapocx and I put on our first duo show as the "Doug Cooper Trio" - a joke that is somewhat lost until you realize (1) there are only two of us and (2) neither of us is actually Doug Cooper. i get a day off! you know what that means:

to-do to-morrow
• clean dad's jeep
• contact beaver falls police about my towed car (long story)
• go new car shopping
• call insurance companies about dad's ambulance bills
• RELAX!

the VA has finally done some work for us. it seems my dad might be moving to the beaver valley nursing home "anytime soon". they're basically waiting for a bed to open up. that could be tomorrow or a month from now. nonetheless, my dad is in very high spirits. it also helps that his MRI appointment, and soon after neuropathic appointment, is ( Read more... )

had a pretty insane weekend. friday was a nice half-day with the children, followed by a sushi lunch and another half-day of paper-grading (boo-ring!). finished off the day at paul's oktoberfest party. i'm not allowed to divulge much of the events during the party - let's just say that the boot kicked my ass.
