Sick and wrong.

I feel ill and angry at the same time.

The same day I spot and help rescue a sick guillemot, there's a truly unpleasant show of one of the worst sorts of human behaviour not far away. Makes me ashamed to be the same species.

That is truly horrible. The perps should get medieval retribution. But if they are caught, they will probably get a slap on the wrist.

Yeah, the prosecution thing is a real pain. If they're youngster they'll probably just get cautioned, as you say. A fine maybe if they're adults. Sad to think they'd probably get the same punishment if it was damage to someone's house or car.

Dundee is not a place I'd ever want to live, drugs and thuggery are rife there.

I saw the headline, and couldn't bear to read on, things like that get my unbearably angry and unhappy. I swear that if I am ever done for murder, it will be because I catch someone doing something like that. It has an ability to affect me which is utterly unrivalled by anything else.

I'm right there with you. I rarely get angry enough to want to hurt someone and the only times it's ever happened is when cruelty to animals is involved.

On the plus side it did motivate me to finally get up and volunteer for the 'local' (2 hour bus journey) Scottish SPCA centre. On reflection it's a much better use of my time, energy and money than LARP ever could be.

Well done for volunteering.
I hope they're appreciative of how lucky they are to have you too.

Aww! That's exceedingly sweet of you to say. I need to put in an application (once it arrives) but don't foresee any problems.

I gave up on our species years ago. I've been saying for nearly two decades that Homo sapiens sapiens (and isn't that an irony) are a cancer on the face on the planet, and the sooner we wipe ourselves out, the better.

The scary thing is that this cancer is preparing to metastize to other planets.

I've never given up on them - as the most adaptable and complex species on the planet it's a species worthy of respect; not all of them are abhorrent brutes.
