Was totally avoiding homework last night, but NOT because I didn't feel like drawing. FINALLY, I've got some more DeathNote fanart XD;

Series: DeathNote (L & Raito/Light)
Medium: Pencil sketch colored in PS
Time: about 5 hours start to finish ^o^

I certainly could attempt a new series, as there's always time for hotsexcoldbastards, but I warn you that my, err, projected catching up/finishing time is FAAAAAAAAAR in the future :3 BUT BRING ON TEH SMEX, YEAH?

Okay, I am slightly more coherent now. Slightly.

I love the colors. I love Raito's smile and lack of eyes, randomly. But he seems so Raito, and he's handing L a manila folder and I randomly fangirl that too. But what can I say about L? The way his hand is positioned would almost seem awkward and unnatural if it wasn't L, but it is, and that justifies a lot. And he's so pretty, he really really is... ::distracted::

Oh! I really like Raito's shirt. And the sketchy lines of that shoulder/chest area, which is a really strange and arbitrary thing to fangirl but I do it nonetheless. I guess I just like the way it flows.

Gah, your talent, Ed, your talent. ♥ And applied to DEATH NOTE. ::greatly joyous::

I like to rock things hardcore, which is why it's taken me ten days to finally get back on LJ and check my comments XD; WOOHOO! And you know, it was harder to get Raito's smirk *just* evil enough than it was to do L's expression, but that's probably because I worship at the shrine of L and am ridiculously obsessed.

I cheat with the colors, I really really do, because it's easier to color one way and then make it pretty with the Color Balance control in PS, and because no matter how hard I try to choose nice, eye-bleeding colors, they're never eye-bleeding enough. XDDD;; And originally Raito wasn't even going to be IN the picture, but he's so amusingly evil that i couldn't resist. And the laptop was modeled after my own dear little G4, which I loff muchly. ^o^!!

Awww, well, even if you /do/ cheat with colors, it turns out pretty anyway. So that's okay. It just means that if you don't cheat with colors, it'll be even prettier and make my brain explode. Because if your art gets any prettier it'll be... uhh... really really pretty? Something? *runs out of steam*

... so, now that we've established that both Raito and L are love, can I bug you to draw Raito/L? 8D;; ♥
