emiliana torrini's vocals are perfect for this song.  i totally forgot about her after she released that horrible acoustic album.  the poor thing lost her fiance, so she went all lillith fair on us.  however, i stumbled on this tune, "until the morning",

i think you're the only person i know who prefer torrini's first album to her second one. the lilith fair comparison is sooooo not what i heard when i first listened to that album (because believe me i hate that shit), made me think more of nick drake and mazzy start and stuff, which is definitely preferable to when she sounded more like bjork than anything.

the more that i listen to her debut, the less it sounds like bjork to me. i think it did initially, but her song writing and vocals are totally different. the fisherman's wife album has a good song on it, and it is really emotional, but it's just not fun to listen to. i can't do dull anymore.
