This was so heavy. Oh my goodness. I was starting to feel kind of bad for Li Hua and Jongdae, but they really are both pathetic, bullying assholes. Like, wow. They are really awful people! The narration of their thoughts and feelings is so convoluted yet still simple. They are well aware of pretty much everything but one another, because they're so similar. (Like Li Hua noticing Minseo's crush on Yixing. It's a real thing, and it's honest, and she can see that, but she keeps denying herself because she has no idea what anything "good" is.) Those two are absolutely terrible for one another. They're perfect in their mutual misery and upbringing, but their relationship is so unhealthy. (That song by Eminem and Rihanna could be their theme song. Totally a love/hate deal going on, but they can't leave one another because of their miserable near-obsessions.)

It's a super easy thing to miss; it was just enough to knock the flow a bit, which is why I noticed it.

Li Hua and Jongdae are both human, definitely. Not the kinds of people you'd willingly want to associate with unless you're the type to want to fix people, but still. You wrote them well. And there seems to be some bits of hope, which makes them easier to read. I'll have to wait and see about Chanyeol being likable. My gut is saying 'no' while my heart is like 'please don't hurt me any more.'

Aw, I'm excited for Taohun. Chuntao seems like a sweetie. Sehun's just kind of been 'there,' but nothing bad's happened with him, at least. Sweet freshman love~ That should be nice. uwu

thanks hun! my coauthor says it's really angsty, but that's no different from the whole au.

and yeah! chuntao's pretty cool, and sehun is a bit of an apathetic loner type - kind of like a sassier, more cynical, less rich yixing. and freshman year is totally the best year for romantic drama imo because you don't know people very well yet and don't recognize their flaws, plus all of their flaws are more borne of ignorance and innocence than of actual deficits of character. i'm glad i left it for last, tbh, because the luchen was such a relative bummer character-wise and it kinda burned me out on writing (which probably a good thing tbh i have to write six essays by wednesday ugh) but i know that the taohun will be fun to write and a little more lighthearted. <3

this is such a heavy, dark and raw exploration of their honestly messed up lives and it wasn't an easy read, but i loved all of it even with the sheer cruelty of things. these two are such a rare pair, especially in this genre and you made them so wonderfully human and flawed.

they are not nice people, not even really put together, but with all their edges and broken parts, they are somehow, inextricably perfect for each other and i dig that so, so much. they hurt each other better than anyone else and they need each other more than anything else and it’s twisted, but their slow realization that what they have is probably the most important things in their imperfect world, makes everything worth it.

this definitely wasn't an easy write at first tbh but after a few thousand words in their shoes it got easier and i started to really feel for both of them like as shitty as they are they developed into real people in my head and???? they need each other so much it hurts i don't know i hate writing but i love writing yaknow

Both are fucked up teenagers that don't know normalcy and they're bad, like really really bad, but they somehow found humanity in themselves?? idk but this was so good. It had me thinking about humans and psychology at some parts and I just became confused. This was no normal teenage love story with the gooshy stuff, it captured the part of society that some people want to ignore. You made their emotions and feeling so raw, heck, I got affected. and the "to be continued" had me wanting more oh gosh will they have their healthy romance and lifestyle after this? I'm excited at the same time scared lmao

By the way, your style of writing in this fic is so good. It didn't reveal too much and the emotions that were captured in this was brilliance.
