Around exam time this year (which is when you usually get most of your brilliant ideas for world domination and such) I decided that I wanted an art blog. It would be a place where I would write and ponder around art, comics and illustration. Having to write things down forces you to think things through, so I'm hoping it will help me, and perhaps ( Read more... ) -
Not dead
The intention was to reserve this journal for life-stuff, whereas I've started a separate artblog for my arty ramblings, but judging by the lack of posts here recently we must conclude that there is no life without art! ^_~

In the process of joining two separate scans of a B4 comic page from Girl in a Box in Photoshop, this slightly disturbing image appeared as I switched to multiply mode. It has nothing to do with the story, but somehow I wasn't particularly surprised when I saw it. It reminds me of previous work by this particular writer. ;D

Where to start...
Although I've been in the country for two weeks now, various forces have been keeping me off the internet. First it was the long wait for the broadband installation, and then an added few days since I was forgetful enough to leave the power cables for my laptop at the workshop I did with Susan in Wokingham the same day we got broadband. *sigh*

Back from China
Things got a bit crazy after uni finished with moving out of halls and going to China, all at once. It's good to be back, a month is more than enough.
China was hot, as expected, but it was nice to see my relatives again. Some I hadn't seen in 7 years. My grandfather died two months ago, and my uncle died at the beginning of the year, so the visit ( Read more... ) -

Gone.
Finished.
Irrevocably submitted.
The first all-nighter in my academic life, quite appropriately coinciding with the final big thing I'm submitting. Can't say that it's something I've been missing out on.
Now I shall pray that my supervisor does not give me hell for writing too much.

My sister's birthday was yesterday. I sent her a Professor Layton game for her DS since I have personal experience of how bad my parents are at picking useful presents. Ahh the important tasks of an older sister... XD
