Hello again~!! It's been A WHILE since I last posted/commented... Because I've been so busy getting ready for moving to university and all that shiz
( Read more... )
I HAVE FACEBOOK! Finally. After much persuading from various uni friends. I was told it's a life necessity. Although until now I seem to have done fine with the alive thing.
And sorry for replying so late - my internet stopped working. Which it may well do again at any point.
Haha well I have a rug on it, it doesn't look too bad. Both Lucien and I have slipped over so far though...
The busier I am the less homesick I feel, so it's getting better. I do like it here a lot :DD People are very friendly.
I have just started lectures but my situation is a bit odd so I'll probably post about them on Monday when I know exactly what I'm doing :D *::dorks with you::
I will add you to Facbook right now! (when I figure how to add people by their email address ::loses::)
Ok how exactly do I add you by using your email address? I mean, where do I type it in to find you? Because I'm not entering my own email and password like they seem to want me to...
LOL! We call our finals the matriculation exam... Anyways, DOUBLE-lolz for your room! After you settled in, it looked nice... But the notice board totally cracked me up. XDDD Placebo and thena rainbow flag there too... OOOH Hattie... *laughs* It's awesome! *hugs so tight!!*
I'm glad you got there alright and that.. you are still alive and other things like that... ^^'
Your room looks really really cosy, obviously once it was all unpacked! I saw QAF on your shelf... exciting!!! Also I saw a picture on your poster board which I drew of all of us. Friends Forever. Lol! I cant believe you still have that, it was like a doodle! And not a very good one at that... hee hee!
Once you meet people from your course you will start to have lots as fun as Im sure some of them will share your love of anime! Gravitation Rocks! Plus you will find people who like QAF when you join the LGB society!
I agree with the Mighty All Knowing Kimsky... get FACEBOOK!
Yep, I brought all 5 seasons of QAF with me for moral support!! I couldn't live without them ::huggles::
I love that picture! I have that Christmas 2005 photo of us on my desk too. I miss you guys~~~ (;_______;)
I haven't actually MET anyone else yet who likes anime, although I found the anime stall at Freshers' Fair, hopefully I'll hear from them sometime. But I mentioned it to a couple of people on my course and they were all snooty and superior about it, like it was trash. But watching it seriously improved my Japanese, so their loss.
And no one I've met from the LBGT knows QAF, at least the American one, which sucks. And I don't think they're the kind of people who would like it anyways. People here tend to look down a lot on trashy American TV. They're seriously missing out...
I HAVE FACEBOOK!! But I barely know how to use it, so...
Ooh nice room! Looks all cosy and comfy. And you have candles! We can't have candles in our rooms.
I've been at it for two weeks now. You'll feel a bit home sick but try to ride it out. You have the internet anyway, so you can always e-mail people/MSN etc :)
Haha we're not allowed to light candles either but I just brought them because they look pretty :D
I actually lost my internet for a few days after this post, hence the late replies, but it SEEMS to be working ok now (pleasegodpleasegodpleasegod) so hopefully I'll remain connected. But yeah - the homesickness thing kicks in every so often. I'll be fine for a while, then I'll suddenly want to go home really badly DD: It is good fun most of the time though.
::hugs:: <333
How's your course going? And the experience of university itself?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your internet connection remains, well, connected! I don't have a laptop yet, so I'm confined to the Learning Centre for now. It's not bad actually. This computer has a REALLY loud clicky keyboard, and there's me and someone else on the other side of this room. And they're on a Mac, which equals less clicky noises.
Course - okay. I think. The Media Communications part isn't so bad. Publishing is alright. It's quite boring so far. Hopefully it'll pick up a bit more and I'll be semi-awake for a lecture. There's only seven of us in the class.
Uni itself - pretty good. All my flat mates are fun and I get on with them all. Met a whole bunch of people all over the place, been to loads of social things and generally been out a lot. Just trying to keep busy I guess.
