I think people may have either been confused by or run away from that whole LJ sale and new terms.

I know it took me a few days because LJ was just blank on my Samsung and I had no idea why. Thought it was just a glitch because it has always done weird things on this phone.  Eventually looked it up and fixed it.

Maybe I should start posting again.  Ha!!

Mostly, yeah. A bunch of people have migrated over to Dreamwidth, a similar platform. You can import your entire LJ over there. I've done so.

I've set it up so that whatever I post over there automatically cross-posts to here, and I still read here because I have friends still that haven't made the move. But for the most part, I think LJ is finally in its death throes, even for us hardcore folk who held on long after its popularity waned.

I'm confused by DW and I only have two friends there, so I'm still pretty LJ reliant.

DW started with the same code base as LJ. It's pretty much the same, although it hasn't gone the same path of "let's be more facebook-like" that LJ has. You can import your entire LJ fairly easily, and I'd guess with more Russian crack down here, it'll continue to crash.
