Realized something in the past couple minutes just looking around at the beautiful things in my life. Every single day i find myself in a beautiful moment. I'm watching a child cling to her father as she rides on the back of his bike. I'm eating delicious food on a busy Beijing street. I'm saying "see you later" to amazing friends i've made here. I was nursing a slightly queasy belly (a fairly regular occurance here) and I felt my bed shaking. I thought it was Kirk so I turned over and yelled at a very sleeping kirk in the other bed.

yay for earthquakes in foreign lands!!

Blame it on the fact that I don't recognize emotions unless they are violently extreme but I kind of enjoy just being content. Right now the emotions that i'm feeling about leaving China are equal amounts of both extremes so they cancel each other out which leaves me just sitting back and enjoying it all ( Read more... )

Well since my roomate left a few days ago the staff here at the hotel/dormy things felt it was necessary to put me in with someone else whose roomate also left. Why the other person couldn't come to MY room i have yet to figure out. ANYWAY, i moved in with this creepy russian girl who... is creepy. and really clean.
