I frequently discuss my online web novel with a fellow writer, who is an ER nurse in the Austin area. He comments on my story, and I comment on his. My mother and I do not agree, politically. She things I'm an extreme conservative, and I think she's a pretty extreme liberal, but we can usually talk civilly on politics, although we rarely see eye-to-eye and almost never change each other's minds. A disappointing handover
For many many many years, I have been reading Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time epic. Sadly, Jordan died 2-1/2 years ago, without writing the promised twelfth and final book of the series (each book running around 600 or so pages). He had left copious notes, fortunately, and his widow chose the author Brandon Sanderson to turn them into the finale. ( Read more... ) -

Sing It - deuts season
As I mentioned a while ago, Sing It! season 8 will be all-duets all-the-time. You can audition either singly or with a partner, but all competitions past the audition round will be duets. Murphy's Week
Ever hear the phrase, "death by a thousand cuts"? That's what it felt like this past week.
