I'm redoing the jewels, today. This time, I'm going to mask off the area to be painted white so it will come out even. Also, I'm going to puncture the jewels on the bottom before they dry so that I will have a place to put the hooks when it's time to glue those on.

I'm making the odango(in japanese, "odango" means "bun" hence the name of the style) jewels out of super lightweight modeling clay. It's actually mostly paper. I didn't want anything holding down the wig, it's going to be heavy enough.

I got my wig today! Yaaaayyyy! I look completely ridiculous with it on, so says my boyfriend anyway. It just hasn't been styled yet. I have decided against ever having hair that long. It is so much work!

I'm still trying to figure out how to do Sailor Moon's odango jewels without using sculpey.

I know that stuff is like the cosplayer's go to material for any prop they need to make, but I think that most of these projects end up looking lumpy. Surely I can think of something better to use, I do work in a hobby store!
