Today (well, yesterday, but it feels like today) I came back to Fort Collins. My flight was scheduled for 8:10pm out of Charlotte. I got there nice and early like they say to do and of course there was practically no line at security and I got to the gate with tons of time to spare. Today it snowed. Hard. My parents were supposed to fly into Denver, but the airport shut down and so they flew into Salt Lake City instead, and took a shuttle towards Denver until it got too bad. Last I heard from my mom, she was in a bar in Breckenridge drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon, which I'm pretty sure she hasn't had before ( Read more... )

I'm in Columbia right now, home for Thanksgiving this year instead of Christmas. Not a whole lot has changed, except that my old dogs are now really old. One is 14 and has lost most of her hair; the other is 12 and has cancer. But they're both as sweet as ever. I've been home for 5 days now, and it's been really nice. I only have two friends here that I'm still in touch with, so most of my time has been spent at the house or out with my mom, which is great by me.
