Kitten Update

Julie got back to me today and informed me that she thinks that her husband will allow her to give the Tiger kitten who looks like Hemi to me! I am very excited about this.

I also would like to ask advice on the following:

Would you take 1 kitten or 2? Would the kittens do better if I took two together, or do you think 1 would be okay where I have

I would get two. I wish that I had gotten two when we got our kitty many years ago.

I've always thought it would have been nice for her to have a friend to play with. I felt especially bad when Lucien was born, and I had so little time to play with her. Now I would love to get a kitten, but Nadja is almost ten years old and I fear she would flip out if we brought another animal into her home. :)

We lack the space so we didn't do this... but I wish we had. When we got Hermione(who just turned one) she was at the pet store with her brother. I really wanted to get both of them so they had someone around they already knew. I thought it would make the transition easier, but our apartment isn't big enough for 3 cats so we just got the one. I say if you have the space get both. So they always have a friend and someone they already know.

Well thats kind of what I was thinking. And my cat Sheba is almost 8. She isnt going to have much in common with a kitten. It would also give the kitten a playmate during the night. Because at night the boys go into there rooms and the dogs and mike and I go into our room so that cats would have the whole house to themselves all night long. Sheba mostly sleeps, but I would think the new kitten would want someone to play with. When I got hemi he used to bat around the kids toys all night for entertainment. hah

you have one already? I would just get one. I love my cats, but I'm never having more than 2 ever again. Only because of the litter box.

Why the litter box?

going from 2 cats to 3 cats for some reason was a lot more litter than 1 to 2. I clean it out every day, but there's definetly a lot more.

HAH it cant be any worse then going outside everyday to clean up after three dogs, right?

Thank you. I've gotten a head/chest cold and its driving me nuts.Both the children have it so they have been up most of the night for the past 3 nights. They cant breath well so they dont sleep well. I'm ready for a break.

Oh wow, I'm sorry. Do you have humidifiers? That always helps Marcus sleep when he has a cold of any sort. Also we love Mucinex in this house, both the kids/toddler version and the adult version.

I dont have a himidifier, I thought about it when Gideon was first born. I didnt get one because EVERYTHING wakes up Gideon, and I was afraid the sound of it running all night would keep him up. Are they loud?
