A question of solidarity...

Do you truly put your friendships and the group dynamic before yourself , or do you just make sure you're allright?

I'm curious cos a lot of people advocate the former and practice the latter

Disspointing to me anyway.

And there's me.

Even when I've been depressed, I've helped out friends, listened to them, etc.

The minority include some of my friends; not all but some.

I've just realised why your name seamed so familiar.
Met you in slimes the night before Dark Jubily. Now wonder it took me so long, was pretty trashed that night.

I would of always said the former up until recently.
Maybe i'm a bit more cynical than i ever have been in my life about now but i'm finding that sometimes you have to put yourself first and you can't keep taking shit just to keep everyone else happy. If it's going to cause trouble, then it'll cause trouble but you can't let yourself be a doormat. Your true friends will always be there to support you no matter whether they believe you were in the right or the wrong. If you ask me if your being an ass about something i'll tell you straight. If you want to talk you know how to get hold of me.
BTW, are you coming to the SpeakEasy tonight to celebrate Chris's birthday?

I like to think that I put others first. My trouble could easily be that I try to get on with everyone, and perhaps that messes slightly with 'group dynamics' when I attempt to stay out of disputes and remain friendly with everyone. Luckily in Nottingham there are thankfully few people that I don't get along with, which is cool :)

Anything in particular bugging you?

Thats how I feel.
In my desperate attempts to keep everyone happy I sometimes trip over myself but I do try my best

The latter then the former, with transparency.

This may be considered sad and unfortunate, but there is only so much you can do for others.
