hey homebrewers i need some help!

I'm really hoping that there are some people in the community who home brew. After two successful batches from kits (thanks to the lovely people at Brock's home brewing) we're anxious to try out recipes that aren't in kit form. I was told to check out the brew supply place on newberry rd next to grandy's. Has anyone been there? How's the selection ( Read more... )

Before I moved away, I went there for my ingredients. They have house recipes if you aren't sure what you want or you can bring your own. They also have a small collection of books on brewing that you can consult for ideas.

Once or twice I brought a half-baked idea and they happily worked with me to develop a recipe and supply the necessary ingredients.

Don't know how it compares to Brock's, but I'd recommend checking it out.

We also went there before we moved, and they were always amazing. Definitely check them out! They are very helpful.

hoggetown is awesome. super friendly and helpful. they will be able to answer a lot of your questions and get you started. they even have a weekly special.
