The Albuquerque Zoo had their Annual Feast With The Beasts event this past Friday. They had tons of stuff for kids including slides, face painting, temporary tatoos, gymnastics, popsicles, live music, and of course the animal exhibits were open until dusk. Tristan turned one year old on Friday, August 14th. Unfortunately for him, we were flying back home so his party was postponed until Sunday. Last night I saw Queensryche at the Kiva Auditorium downtown here in Albuquerque. Since they allowed cameras, I managed to get a decent amount of Photos from my sixth row seat without any issue, even though my camera's battery kept dying. So I spruced up our Photo Gallery again. I added a bunch of Javascript to make it much quicker to browse through images once you have the photo screen up. I really didn't change much to the other screens, but once you choose a photo to view, it will load the screen as normal, then go fetch (via custom AJAX) the entire list of photos from the page ( Read more... )

The plants and flowers in our yard are approaching full bloom. The Mexican Evening Primrose is starting to bloom, the Strawberry plant is starting to produce fruit, the Rose bushes either have buds on them or even full bloomed flowers, the Columbina flowers shot up tall and bloomed out, the sunflowers are starting to pop up out of the ground, and ( Read more... )

The other day I picked up a new Bird Feeder along with a bunch more tomato plants and a few more herbs for the vegetable garden at Home Depot.
