A public update for those who read...

Jun 01, 2005 17:59

I have taken off some people that I have added in the recent months. Mostly due to the reason of clutter-ness on my flist as well as your responses to my journal entries (which would be next to none if I have taken you off). Feel free to keep me friended (I have decided it is probably too hard to keep you guys off) and read my public posts. Please ( Read more... )

I agree with tarogirl. If people don't feel that your opinions and feelings are worthwile, they shouldn't be taking up space on your friends list. Granted, the downloads are a treat, but what's important is to remember that there is a person behind the screen and the typed words, not just a large download of Gackt.

I don't blame you; it seems rather inevitable when you have that many people... *muses* I have a tendency to get upset if someone on my friends list uses obsessive amounts of netspeak and no paragraphing, and I'm this close *holds fingers an inch apart* from de-friending said person.

I can't stand it, and even if it sounds selfish, there's no sense in it if I don't or can't read her journal.

There's no point having people on your friends list if they're not actually your friends, right? I mean, I like to actually know the people who I'm reading about, atleast to some extent.

Well put. It's like on Deviant Art, when you've got hundreds of people on your friends list. You try to go through all of their artwork that they submit, to tell them how much you like it...soon you realize you just spent 8 hours of your day on the same web site...

*stops ramble*

^__^;

Besides being a black hole for your time, I imagine it's quite dehumanizing.

Well, I'll keep reading even though I'm not on the list any longer. It's understandable that you don't want that many friends on your f-list, and it was fun while it lasted, but if this is your choice then I'll respect it. ^_^ I undestand where you're coming from... reading through a hundred entries is a lot of work, especially if certain entries you have no interest in reading are scattered around amist those you would like to read.
I'll still be around commenting, though if that's alright. And, although I haven't known you for very long, and we haven't spoken much, I hope you never thought I saw you as a download/translation machine. ^^; It's actually awesome that you post so much publicly as it is. So, I guess from now on, I'll keep trying to comment more, and enjoy what you contribute to the fandom.
Thanks!

@@... Actually, I don't know why I took you off. Perhaps you don't comment enough or you're quite new. However, from your comment here, I see that you are quite sufficient in doing that. I'm sorry if I've offended you in some way. Like I said in the entry, I might've taken some people off by mistake, and from what I can tell, you are definitely one of that. I'll re-add you.

I must've been too sleepy. Very sorry about that. :P

oh... *surprised* Yay, then! ^^; I wasn't offended at all, by the way. (But I am happy to be back. ^^) I just hope my entries aren't boring you to death... XD They're a lovely indication of my LJ n00bness, though. *sigh*
