It was a lovely conversation. And it's not like there was anything else to do. The Daleks would have caused pain, death and destruction over innocent worlds, which didn't deserve it. Those worlds had to be protected from the bad guys, which despite everything, never learn, never want anything but extermination. The Doctor did what he had to do. Funny that in the end, it was Donna and the human doctor who have saved the whole of reality, and not the original doctor.

I always wonder why some people call the human doctor a "sloppy second" or a fake doctor. He did what not even the original doctor would do, save the world. In my mind, he IS the Doctor. There are two doctors and the universe is certainly better for that, in safe hands.

Oh, I totally agree with that. But I think Ten II has a capcity to be a greater man than the Time Lord because he's part human.

Anyway, gonna write more on this soon. :)

This is lovely, and a great scene the audience really misses out on. One little critique: your narrative switches from past tense to present tense a few times over the course of the fic, sometimes even in the same sentence. Other than that, though, it's fantastically written and very much in character. I love that the DoctorII is suddenly struck by the horror of what he's done and Rose has to be the one to put it in context for him.

Hey

Thanks for the note on tense's, I realised from your comment that I had copied it out of my orignal draft, so I think it should be minly fixed now.

Glad that you liked it otherwise.

Oh I definitely did like it! And i mean no harshness of offense in feedback-- hopefully constructive. It's a great little fic, and I look forward to reading more as you write. Your summary is perfect-- this is a conversation that had to happen one way or another. And this is a good, good way!

Oh, I did think the feedback was constructive, it's fine. People always worry when they give feedback cos people do get offended, but no worries, I'm glad you noticed what a tit I was so I could correct.

Cheers x
