Dear Team Ramrod,

Tonight in gymnastics, when doing a release move on bars (you're supposed to actually recatch the bars after doing release moves), I fell, and my left knee went "pop."  It is very sore now, but I am hoping it will be okay for hockey. I really won't know until I wake up tomorrow and find out if I can still walk.  Unfortunately, ( Read more... )

i don't have a doctor up here. can anyone recommend one that takes United Healthcare?

also, as long as i didn't break or tear anything, i think there's a chance i could be fine after a few days of icing, so hockey isn't out of the question or anything. i've taken alot of falls like this before. the only difference is i'm older now and slower to heal, which sux.

Go to the urgent care clinic by the Lenox Club (it's right by how you walk to the metro...uhm, don't walk). I am sure they take United Healthcare, as the only insurance it appears they do not take is mine (not United). It isn't considered an emergency room visit, so it doesn't have to be preapproved or anything.

Additionally, the doctor told my mother that "popping" meant a ligament tear (which turned into ankle surgery for her because they didn't treat it right initially). So go to the doctor!

I was watching Leno last night and he had wanda sykes on. she said on the day of Colby's accused rape he had knee surgery. She said, Colby had knee surgery and was up rapin' the same day. What's your problem, Shaq? I thought it was funny.

Any serious advice, get it checked asap. Dr. Ken Fine worked with me at george washington and he's really good if you can get an appointment with him. he's even recommended by drs. up here. if you did something to it its better to know asap because just putting weight on it can make things worse.

I'm sorry to hear about this. maybe we'll be gimp twins this Christmas.
