One thing I've noticed about forums is that people often join them and participate to be involved in something, because doing so in real life requires effort. So, they seem compelled to write any inane thing that comes to mind just so they can continue to be active in the "community." I was about to type "it borders on ridiculous," but I think we all know it's already jumped the border and is stealing jobs from the ridiculous.

Not everybody's opinion is important. Mine is, of course, but I let everybody know that by typing IMEO (in my exalted opinion or in my expert opinion) before saying anything. It lets people with their humble opinions instantly know that mine is better.

I agree. Forums need to be better edited for useless content or at least such posters should be mocked by the forum admins. But they probably think it is far too much work as well.

If i were a forum admin, my main commmentary would be something like, "If you don't have something constructive to say, don't post it." And then penalize the user by blocking them from posting for 24hours. That's a long time for some ppl. I dunno. It's odd. I think i'm going to steal your acronym-esque thing. I like it. How is life?

I'm glad you may be able to get some use out of IMEO, because I do not post on forums. :)

Life is good. How are things with you?

When do you want to meet up so I can get your tax info? If you'd like me just to stop by and pick it up and get back to you the next day, I can do that.
