This is some beautiful writing. For your sake, I wish it weren't so bleak, but it also sounds as though you are appreciating the beauty in your world, and that is something.

I was reaching for something more languid, but this is what fell out of the void this time. I'd stopped writing altogether, and would like to spend more time immersed in the search for just the right word now that I have the time for such fripperies. We'll see if follow-through matches intentions.
