I'm going to have my ears surgically pointed today. Hopefully this will save on time on the make-up job required for costuming, as well as, in the long term, money spent on spirit gum, ear tips, and makeup. Just a little scared about only having a local anesthetic when they break the cartilage and sew the tip into place

question: where do you go to get your ears pointed? I imagine if you asked your doctor he'd go O_o at you. Are there professional ear-pointers out there? An underground elf community?! Do you have bandages on your ears now? ('cause that'd look funny.) Do you like oatmeal cookies?
