Some of me almost thinks that this rumor was perpetuated herself to keep herself in the spotlight and make the mainstream media look like rags. Still, this one will be fun to watch... *munches popcorn*

Hmm... I have a problem with following these stories about Palin (though it is kinda like watching a train wreck). The more we watch of her, the more she stays in the limelight. Like you say, she might have started the rumor herself.

To paraphrase Donald Trump, publicity good or bad is still publicity.

I refuse to click on the CNN links to all the fun/morbid? stories about her. I am afraid that they track click statistics and will keep her in the spotlight so long as people keep clicking.
