I'm sitting in a very hot internet cafe in Siem Reap, waiting for my parents on Skype because my mum has requested that I let her open my birthday cards and read them to me. Weirdly, at the next computer is a french couple Skyping with and wishing happy birthday to their daughter. So far today has been about jam baguette breakfast-in-bed,
