I can't believe how nice the weather's been today. We managed to get a really awesome set of patio furniture (metal table, glass top, 4 matching metal chairs, and some plastic cheapy chairs) for free on Craigslist. How awesome is that? "Diplomatic Immunity"
I'm re-reading "Diplomatic Immunity." Unlike most of the Vorkosigan books... or, heck, most of the books I read in general... I seem to have only read it once previously. So picking it up again now, months after I first read it... it's like reading the book for the first time. Awww. Bujold love. -
A minor success
I visited my parents this weekend. My grandma is selling her condo and moving into a managed care facility, where everything in her apartment will be on one floor, she'll have access to physical therapists without having to drive to them, and will be around other people her age. I'm re-reading A Civil Campaign, and it's really obvious what makes Miles not be a Mary Sue. Namely, he fucks up. And people call him on it. And they don't find him endearing when he's annoying.
