Apparently they like me at MCC as I have been offered more hours through the fall. Normally this would be a good thing but Im not sure I want to take both sections I would be teaching. So two weeks are in the books at MCC and I feel pretty good about it. I have gone in strong and pushed myself to keep up with the program and it has really been paying off. I have tried all of my life to make one thing at a time, one painting one tree-fort, One two headed GI Joe ect, but I have never been able to do it. I find my work holds my attention best when I multitask which makes me an excellent teacher or manager but a slow crafts person. To that point I often drive folks I make things for a little batty. Soooooo to celebrate our eventual transfer to the new house we got two puppies. I only sorta wanted one of them but my preggo sister's dogs had puppies and she need to find them homes. So after a long wait I got my course assignment at MCC, I will be teaching precision machining on mondays then in the fall I will be teaching sculpture at TRCC every tuesday and thursday. I went blind! pretty neat right? Well I got better, and this isn't the first time. So the other day I had to go to the emergency room because I couldnt see and my left arm went numb. Everyone freaked out and sent me right in for a CT scan and they determined I didnt have a stroke and sent me to the neurologist. I have been having similar symptoms ( Read more... )

I have been running myself ragged with all of the work I have been doing. I am currently working full time at the cable shop, running my own metal working business (which is exploding and I need to start hiring soon) as well as consulting at Conn college and acting as a studio assistant to two well known artists! I just scheduled an interview for a position at Connecticut college! I am really nervous about it but I think I can do it. Im not sure why it feels strange to me that I could potentially get such a great job after all I have been in college for the last 6+ years. But wish me luck!

Well grad school is over and now its time to get down to brass tacks and do some REAL work.
