[he recognized the sight of those strange people, and there was now a slight frown. he also felt that pain, which was still something he had to get used to.]
Beat, are you all right? How are your injuries healing?
Yes. I did. And I am in front of your apartment right now, actually.
[despite what he had "said" earlier, he had said he would get Beat's things and he was injured so. he ended up doing it anyway.
though he made sure to pick out the perfect copy and the perfect set of cans. by the way, they were all weighed to make sure they were perfectly balanced.]
[There's suddenly the sound of footsteps heading towards the door. Beat flings it open, grinning from ear to ear as if the earlier argument didn't even happen.]
Yo, man! I been waitin' for this! [And just taking the soda now because he's parched. Off to the messy makeshift bed (aka sofa) and coffee table that's currently Beat's room for the timebeing!]
[well he was a bit surprised by the action, but now he was just standing appalled at the mess called an apartment.]
This-how did-
[immediately he pulled out a handkerchief because this was absolutely revolting.]
Beat! How can you live like this!?
[in truth, the room was probably not as bad as Kid was making it out to be, but this was Kid. ...and it was Beat's room so really. this should be no surprise.]
[Beat gives the place a once over, shrugging at Kid's reaction. The place looked totally fine to him. Minus the whole having to sleep on the couch set-up.]
Got the whole place booked, yo. Rhyme's in my room an' Flips' in hers. Ain't got no choice but to crash on the couch.
[And he tries popping open a can with much difficulty.] Freakin' sling!
[He eventually places the drink down on the table and eventually gets it open.]
Have you considered moving to another apartment? [he's talked to Rhyme, but has no idea who Flips is. not that he really needs to so he won't ask about it. he was also about to open the can for him, but...well looks like he got it.
but he will be straightening things up. picking up some of the trash that's on the ground is a pretty good start.]
And you could at least make it so it's somewhat habitable-what is this?
