Today is my 27th birthday. I treated myself to a soy chai and a pumpkin scone at the Starbucks drive-thru this morning. I think what I'd really like, however, is a private party at Showbiz Pizza. Happy Birthday, lady!

I kind of missed out on the birthday party thing growing up with crazy cult parents, so a post-childhood pizza party sounds like a great time to me!

I don't remember the pizza being anything to write home about, but what kid goes to a place like that for the food? My mom and aunt took me there all the time so they could get their Pac-Man fix.

When I had my 4th birthday party at Chuck E Cheese and they had all the birthday kids parade around the room, then asked them what their favorite foods were I yelled "cabbage!" At age 4, I said cabbage. All the other kids were saying ice cream, pizza, cookies, cake, etc. This is my story of the day for you. Consider it your gift since I've no money to send you a real one. I told a room full of strangers at Chuck E Cheese that I loved cabbage.

Ahahaha. Do you still like cabbage? I said my favorite food was shrimp scampi around that age, and I used to bring Pork 'n Beans with me to school for lunch and get picked on mercilessly about it.

the chuck e. cheese that we used to go to as kids is just down the street from where john and i live now. you could not PAY me to go back to that place. the dude with the saxophone and the fucked up ears scared the living snot out of my six year old self.

acid trips with pizza, kids! step right up!

Hmmm... don't remember anyone with a saxaphone, but I've only been to Chuck E's maybe once or twice, and that was (now) 23 years ago.

I wonder how many teenagers/college students went to Showbiz/Chuck E. Cheese's armed with acid. I think that'd probably scare most of them straight.
