It's the first of November which means it's NaNoWriMo time again! I'm just about to make a start on my writing for the day. Once I've finished doing this post, checking my email, making a cup of tea...

NaNoWriMo starts in 2 weeks. I don’t think I will be able to write 50k words this year but I do want to be involved and write something. I’ve been thinking that I would like to write more short stories so I could use NaNo for that, maybe one 1,000 word short story per day. 1,000 words sounds far more doable than 1,667! It's a day that encourages everyone to take some time out of their busy lives to read a book. It's also a reminder of the joy and importance of reading, as well as an opportunity to promote literacy and a love for literature.

I have started to upload my old fics to AO3. I've got quite a few to go through and I have to sort all the files out first so it's a slow process. The earlier ones are the worst I think, they've got multiple files and some bits are scribbled on paper so it's a matter of working out which is the final version to upload ( Read more... )

Who remembers Neopets? Who had an account? I was very surprised when I got a recent email from them saying that the website was undergoing major improvements with the aim of bringing it back.
