The main problem is we are pretty geographically limited right now as long as Josh has a decent-paying job that is paying off his student loans. I'm pretty frustrated by public transportation in general though.

One of the teachers I mentioned is completing her PhD in Arizona right now and she told me about the stipends available for students who teach or do research for the university. But unless something changes and it starts looking like moving is necessary for lack of jobs here, I probably won't pursue a PhD right now, mostly because the nearest program I'd be interested in is at MSU. That commute isn't feasible, and WMU is even a stretch, but seems like a more viable option for the time being.
