[Canada peers hopefully into the Guide. (No, those are not tears in his eyes. Honest.)]
There-- there really are other countries on the Sif? See- I knew that... we'd be okay... and the Earth is okay... [(No, he's not sniffing.)]
Um, I'm so glad. Really. So glad-!

R-right!
...Um. If- if you have time, would you like to meet? One of my... friends, he's English, and found a pretty good pub. I know it's not quite the same as your home, but... if you'd like to try it?
[(AKA, he'd totally take you up on a hug.)]

[Oh, somehow Canada is sure that England had enough of America over the Guide, but he's also pretty sure that they'll cross paths before the week is done, no matter what each of them says (or doesn't say).]
A-all right. Thank you.
I'm so relieved too. Not knowing what had happened to everyone else...
[Blushing from how emotional he's getting, he takes his seat. Motioning for a server he orders two of his favourite ale, the one John recommended to him (a light sweet ale. He hopes you like it.)]
But, at least we are not alone! [Even being with France would be better than having no one at all, right? (Even if you'd never admit it XD)]

[Consider yourself spotted, John! As his eyes sweep towards them Canada gives a bit of a wave, then looks back to England.]
Speaking of, please allow me to introduce you to someone who has been a tremendous help to me here...
[Standing as John comes closer, he beams happily at him.]
Th-thank you so much for coming! It's very kind of you. Please allow me to introduce you.
John, this is my father England. England, my friend Doctor John Watson.

Mm. [It's good to not be alone, but France? Really? :|||]
[England might have choked at "my father". He's not used to it, after all. He actually does choke when Canada introduces his friend.]

He holds out his hand for England to shake.]
It's a pleasure to meet you.

[Canada didn't mean to surprise you, England. But just starting out with 'father' is the most straight-forward way to explain it to regular people. (Because there is nothing odd about John's name. At all. He is who he is, right?)]
[He looks between them, smiling happily.]
Um, I've told John a little about you. Sorry. So I'm really glad that you get to meet.

[England takes the proffered hand and gives it a firm shake, before releasing it. He unconsciously bites his lip to resist the urge to ask about Sherlock Holmes. Surely it is mere coincidence...?]

Yes, I'm that Doctor John Watson, friend of Sherlock Holmes. Depending on where you're from though, you may be surprised to find out we're from the year 2010.

Canada orders a drink for John while he's talking to England.]

Doctor Watson? You and Holmes solve cases?
[He does his best to resist the urge to bounce around like a giddy schoolgirl and just manages to keep from hyperventilating.
John Watson. Oh God.]
I-It's quite the honour to meet you.
Reply
And yes, we do solve cases, occasionally. Less often than Sherlock would like since we got here.

Couldn't be.
But you sure are acting... really excited, for you. And you know about them already?]
[He nods at that last.]
I'm so glad that you do, though!
John and Sherlock a-and Holmes have really helped me out so much!
Ah- sorry. That is to say, Sherlock from 2010, and Holmes from the late 1800s. Just a bit of a convention, too keep them straight...

There are two.
[Staring at you, Canada. You better not be pulling his leg, or there will be hell to pay.]
Two.
