Win or lose, it's how you play the game. ◌ Accidental Video ◌ 006

[The Guide starts filming, showing the brightly coloured lobby of a laser tag arena. Irene is looking up to something off-screen intently, then frowns slightly. She is reading the score from the last round, and the result is not as favourable as she could have liked. All the same, she turns to America with a smile.]

Tied again, dear. Another round?

[At first glance, John thinks Irene is having a shoot-out with Canada...which makes no sense at all.

Then he realizes it's actually America...and it still doesn't make much sense, but it's entertaining.]

Having fun?

[With a bright smile she nods.]

Yes, this game is quite amusing, John! [It would be even more so if the draws would end, however.]

You are a sharp shot yourself, yes? You should join us!

Seems a bit silly to me, but I suppose it could be considered target practice.

How did you end up playing against America?

Silly... Is it? I thought it a very clever way to shoot someone without inflicting mortal wounds. It is target practice in the very best way.

[With a grin she rolls her eyes slightly and moves casually away from America so he can't interrupt and put his two cents in.]

We drew a draw at the sharpshooting competition at the fair some time ago. He will not concede like a gentleman, so we have come to this. He invited me to come settle the score here.

I see. [She's so competitive.] Have either of you managed to win a round or are you too evenly matched.

[America started it, but yes. >.>]

It is so strange - we are absolutely evenly matched. It's been... fifteen games and we draw perfectly even every time.

That is rather odd. I would have expected at least one or two games to go one way or the other.

[You're telling her... But she just gives him a confident wink.]

I'm certain I'll edge him out yet. It would be rather nice to have someone else to play against for a while, though.

[He smiles at that.]

Was that a subtle request for me to join you?

Seeing as you were distracted from the more straight-forward invitation...

Well I wouldn't want to just show up and kick out poor America.

['Poor America' indeed.]

Oh, don't worry about him, my dear. [She gives a coy wink] I will just tell him that we will settle the tie later.

[And have some direction to the venue on the planet.]

I shall await you in the lobby.

[It takes a while, but John eventually makes his way down to the planet and finds the right location.]

[And she can be found patiently waiting, resting and drinking water. Seeing him come, she rises to her feet to greet him. (It was a good break, but now back to it!)]

Hello, my dear. It's so good to see you.
