002 : [video/action] : PERFUME PLOT

Jun 19, 2011 11:59

[When the feed turns on, it shows Basch with fragments of glass in his hand, the remnants of something that used to be a perfume bottle.]

This was delivered to me erroneously, this morning. Upon inspection, it seemed to be a bottle of perfume, however--

[He cants his head, furrowing his brows a little.]

The thing was delicate. My apologies to any ( Read more... )

[Irene passes by someone making a guide post, and her ear catches the odd thing of interest. Especially that last line, which makes her grin in amusement and cast a glance back at him. That was quite funny. She'd have to remember that one.]

[He noices her smiling at him, and stares at her (quite taken, though he's not sure why), and bows his head towards her in response-- ever-polite, but still clearly interested.]

[Oh, Irene knows that stare. And she is quite flattered. Noting the clear interest he seems to have in her, she smiles and walks back towards him. Let us see where this goes, shall we? Could be amusing.]

[When she approaches, he obliges her with a bow of his head-- he didn't expect her to come back, but he's not complaining.]

Good day.

[He says it politely, extending a hand, as if to silently implore that she oblige him with hers.]

Good day, sir.

[She gives him her hand and a bit of a curtsey. Such a gentleman.]

[He takes her hand and kisses it, as if he's at a formal ball or something to that extent. Even soldiers go to parties sometimes.]

I would venture that it is dangerous for a woman to wander alone.

[She is rather delighted at his gesture - it is very familiar to her, particularly from the receiving line after a performance. Indeed, the heady smell of flowers about him reminds her of adoration bouquets...

...And why is she hearing this line so much recently? But she smiles at him, for she knows he is just being kind.]

The Thor is rather safe, yet one never knows when trouble might befall them.

Aye. I've not yet had cause to doubt the place's safety. However...

[A bow of the head, and he gently lets go of Irene's hand. God, so mushy, Basch. You are going to regret this later.]

It would put me at ease if you did not wander so alone.

Then likewise it would put me at ease if you escorted me to my room.

[Not that she had been on her way back there. But his suggestion had (somehow) been impossible to reject. And her room had been the first place she'd thought of...]

If I may have the name of such a kind gentleman?

I would do it, if you require it of me.

[He bows his head, one arm crossed in front of his chest, in knightly fashion.]

Basch fon Ronsenburg. And your name?

Irene Adler. [She gives him a curtsey again in response to his bow. She then offers him her arm.]

Shall we, good Mister Fon Ronsenburg?

[He takes it, though the motion isn't as fluid and practiced as someone who would offer to escort someone would be-- clearly he is all talk right now. Since, you know. He's a stalwart military man, not a ladykiller.]

Where are your accommodations?

3-36. It will take a little while to get there - I do hope I'm not keeping you from anything.

Not at all.

[He's gotten a better handle of where things are on this ship now, and so he actually heads in the right direction.]

I have barely just arrived. My obligations are few.

[She walks very close to him, feeling rather short as she looks up to answer him with a roguish smile.]

Is that so. And I hope you will enjoy making a new acquaintance?

Undoubtedly.

[He doesn't say anything of the proximity, doing nothing to discourage it in the least.]

Moreover, it does my heart glad to be of service.
