 [a video feed switches on, and for a few seconds there's not much more than a chest shot and a close up of a really tawdry bandana... then the camera jostles a little and it's Renji, and he's looking kinda shifty (and is he seriously wearing that bandana around his neck it's kind of hideous). he glances one way... then the other... then directly

[the scenery behind maka seems to be some sort of restaurant! it's a tad bit noisy and there's a bar behind her and family and people in their tables or booths talking or eating. but regardless of how busy and how a tad bit noisy it is, he can still hear her. ]

[her hair is up in a bun(that's a first) with a few locks hanging down on the side of her face and in uniform.]

Why? Is there something going on?

but then he catches a proper look at her, and her surroundings, and pauses]

Permanent-permanent! I still have another job on the side, though. -- And thanks! This place is pretty amazing. Everyone's so nice here.

[especially the boys that are eyecandying her, requesting for her as their waitress and giving her compliments and "accidentally" drop things on the ground so they can see her ass when she picks it up. buuuuuut, maka is a bit oblivious to know that sorta thing. she just thinks they're being nice!]

[it's around about now that he has perfectly solid evidence the reason for this post won't be waltzing in any time soon, so e throws up a private filter and exhales a sigh as he leeeeans back into the sofa, bringing the Guide with him]

She's a friend from my world... she turned up the other day. Figure y'should meet her sometime, ya'd prob'ly get along.

[decided on the basis that you're a teenager and rukia seems to get on with teenagers (plus you're a girl and she's a girl what could possibly go worng!!!)]
