Well, this is interesting. I can't claim that it's a situation I ever would have anticipated, but it's interesting, nonetheless. Ah, it brings up a lot of fascinating questions, don't you think? How is one supposed to feel on discovering their home world - everything they knew and all the people that ever meant anything to them - has been ( Read more... )

I don't think they're destroyed.

Oh? And what makes you say that?

There are times were they arrive on Thor weeks or months later. And there's proof of other ships with the same goal as this one. There's a chance that they could be on them.

I see. So there is a chance that some of the people we once knew could have survived. Though I'm curious as to how they could arrive weeks or even months later. And even then, many lives must have been lost if the worlds we knew were destroyed. Its still something to think about, isn't it?

I'm sure wormholes have something to do with it. And I rather not think of it that way. If I've made it here, back home, then here again, then there's a possibility there were no lives lost in the first place.

So you've returned home before, after having arrived here?

Yes, right back where I left it. I continued on with my life with no memories of my time on Thor until the last second and I winded up right back here.

That does bring up some questions as to the validity of what we've been told about our worlds being destroyed, I suppose. Though you mentioned wormholes, previously. How much do you know about the way they function?

Only that they appear unexpectedly. They warp you back home, to another world, or even ships.

Ah, that's a little vague. Though it seems this is something I'm going to have to get used to, while I'm here.

I'm curious though. If you think there is a possibility that our home worlds were not, in fact, destroyed, why do you suppose we're told they have been in the first place?

Some Vogons look down on refugees like us. They could be saying that just to be cruel.

I suppose that's always a possibility. Perhaps they're just curious to see how we would react~

I suppose so, if either of those options turns out to be correct.

Oh! I forgot to tell you my name. I'm sorry. My name is Maka.

No need to apologise, Maka. I'm Izaya.
