I know that feeling. I think it's just ennui, at times, you know, being in the same routine all the time and one day you just want to bust out the walls and run screaming for the coast because it's just TOO ROUTINE.
And then it passes and on we go again.
I don't think it's bad to have a routine, though, so long as you're content. And that's not 'what people expect I SHOULD be doing' content but 'I am ENJOYING where my life is' content, even if its not up to what you think other people should think you should be doing with your life (does that make sense? o___O*)
Most of the time, I'm happy and don't want to change. There are a few things I want, that I think I'll probably want more as I get a little older, and then perhaps I'll truly go for them. But until then, I can enjoy what I've got and when those days come where I hate work, I turn on LJ. :D
Cheers, sage advice as always :) I don't know, I'm happy enough, just that sometimes I think if I don't make some changes, I'll be in the same position in another five years. By that stage, I probably would be unhappy buit it'd be too late to change anything.

Change comes in weird ways, completely unexpectedly. Even when you like the routine. Maybe you'll be surprised! ;)
