Time for some platinum soaks. Anyone want to make up some methyl mercury for me?

Another day, another set of heavy atom trials. My overnight platinum soaks hurt my protein crystals pretty badly, but I don't think all hope is lost. Soaking them for about an hour and half today yielded the color change I was looking for. Think it'll just take some repeats and varying soak times/concentrations of the HA. Argh. Today was a day marked by some ups and downs, but honestly, anything that could be marked in the negative column is nothing but funny in hindsight, so there's no real problem with it. So as of today, I am officially done with my undergraduate education. This morning/afternoon, from 12-2 PM I took my last exam here at Penn. The exam itself was not bad at all; I probably studied a little bit more than I had to, but better safe than sorry, right?
