Things I'm Thankful For -

1. My wonderful boyfriend who loves me even when I'm crabbing at him.

2. My birds who let me sleep until 10am today.

3. Having 9 days off instead of just 4 for the holiday.

4. Having enough money in the bank to pay to have my car fixed yesterday.

5. A 10lb turkey that cost a total of $2.

Wow, just found out my grandmother passed away today. She supposedly died of heat stroke. It's been almost a 100F in MA lately. That's tough on an 85yr old. Funny, we thought she would be the last grandparent to pass away. She was a tough old bird ( Read more... )

This was too funny (disturbing more like it) to not post about. I went and used the ladies room today. As I was washing my hands this woman who was drying her hands turned to me and said, "My you wash your hands really thoroughly." Uh.... Uh... How the hell do you respond to something like that?

Unbelievable. Our house is located in a neighborhood where the lot sizes are approximately 1/4 acre. New people moved into the rental house next door. Last night around 9pm we hear this ungodly sound coming from there. I look out the window and the guy is mowing the lawn with a huge ride-on lawnmower! He's out there again this morning. I've been watching Surivor: All Stars for the past season. It is the only thing of some interest to me on a Thursday night. After 8 pm I like to chill out my brain before going to bed. I got in touch with the woman who was doing the hiring for that job I spoke about in an earlier post. All she wanted to know was if I had the necessary certifications required to work in a clinical lab. I told her I did not. She said that they don't hire people without the certification. Wow, I can't believe called me about a job application that I submitted online. Everytime I submit my resume online I feel like it gets sucked into some void never to be seen again. I can't work in the yard today since it rained so much the last couple of days. I would probably sink about a foot if I did. I need to clean out the gutters, though. Nasty stuff. I do prefer it to having to shop for an outfit for my brother's wedding. I also need to pick up gifts for people that I'll see when I fly back east next month.

I've been having lots of anxiety lately. It doesn't seem to be related to any one thing. Actually, anything seems to trigger it. I bought some St. John's Wort this morning to see if it would help me relax. It made me so tired that I had to go home. I think I'll try to take it at night before going to bed.
