Oh sure, I'd be more than willing to help out. :) I may not be a fan of the team, but that doesn't mean I'm not willing to help people out. =D

Besides, I want to be a professional translator one day, so every little job helps. :)

I did that...when Xavi scored in Euros against Russia I was all "OMG XAVIIIIIIIIIIIIII!" The two people I was watching with thought I was a serious nutjob. I don't think my manager has ever seen me that happy before. XD It was hilarious. And the German guy who was there too? OMG. XD I was all "HE'S MY FAVORITE PLAYER!!" HILARIOUS.

I agree with what you said about Real Madrid. It was a good team and I liked them too. But the coming of the stars and the increasing pressure of money was just too much. I like the players but I don't see them as a team anymore.
I used to feel the same about Barca recently (it's getting better, though).

About Sergio Ramos, I don't understand all the excitation either... I don't especially like him - and I don't know how so many people can say he's gorgeous... I really don't find him attratctive too.

I'm a shameless Xavi fangirl, and even if Xavi weren't as hot as I think he is, I'd still think he was an amazing player. Looks don't matter THAT much to me, though of course I do love a good picspam...and a good squee. XDI'm sometimes angry with myself because I used to love football for football (and not for the players). Recently, I've been becoming some sort of crazy fangirl (like the hundreds we can find on LJ) and I'm not able to focuse only on the game anymore... It's the same about slash. Slashing the players wouldn't have ever ( ... )

Oh yeah, Barça's the number 2 team in Spain and are also known for signing big-name players, but I just don't think it's as bad as Real. And I just see more teamwork with Barça than with Real, but maybe that's just me. XD

I'm pretty glad I never got into slash for that reason. It ruins the game for me. I know a lot of people mean for it to be an off-the-pitch sort of thing, but it just ruins the whole game for me. I just try to stay away from the really big slash communities and not read it when I see a link pop up on a community on my friends list.

I have nothing against him as a player. I definitely agree he's a necessity on Real and even I can't imagine Real without him, and I'm sure it was hard for him to be off the NT, but his time is just over on the NT.

dw. i don't get the whole sergio ramos thing either. HAHA!
i like real more than i like barca but i don't really follow la liga so my feelings towards it are like your feelings towards the premier league.

btw, i find it really really really cool that you're fluent in spanish and english and that you're learning regional dialects of spain on top of that! :D

Well, technically Catalan isn't a regional dialect, nor is Basque, but seeing as that's what some people are taught in Spain I can let it pass. Sort of. ;)

It's alright. =D The thing is, Catalan's very similar to Spanish, being a Romance language and all, but Basque is completely and totally different. xD

Soy americana, pero con 12 años mi familia se mudó a España, a Bilbao. Estuve 1º y 2º de la ESO en un instituto allí, y aprendí un poco de euskera. Hace mucho que lo estudio, y me encantaría volver a tomar clases, pero con lo poco que recuerdo entiendo un poquito, aunque no sea mucho.
