It's been a while since I last posted. I'll post a summary of my action-packed life in another entry, though. I need to start getting accustomed to writing, again - I'll explain in another post.

I've had the privilege of resurrecting my laptop's hard drive from the dead for the two days.

Even though the lakes in Madison haven't frozen, it's still pretty horribly cold up here. The high yesterday was about 7 and the low was -2. I'm not even going to mention the wind chill. So the city of Madison sponsors a computer recycling event at a local company that does all sorts of recycling. Every city and decently sized town should be doing the same thing. Computer parts contain a lot of toxic stuff that can be reused. Monitors and TV's are some of the worst containing huge amounts of lead. We don't need this stuff ( Read more... )

Since we're not going to be going back east for the holidays, Christine and I are going to Chicago for Christmas and seeing the Spamalot Musical. The seats have a slightly obstructed view (I guess we'll find out what that means), but it ought to be a good time.
