Description: Engagement request fic for elisechoi. Seunghyun wants to spend the rest of his life with Jiyong.

The first thing Jiyong registered when he reluctantly awoke was the intensely bright ray of sunlight beaming directly into his eye. The second thing to breach the periphery of his consciousness, after he’d frowned and turned his face back into the pillow, was the warm weight of Seunghyun’s hand on his hip. They’d had a fight last night, and Jiyong had gone to bed alone, still angry that his boyfriend had decided to disparage his fashion sense in front of everyone at their homecoming party. As if two years in the military hadn’t been stressful enough. Obviously, Seunghyun had crawled into bed with him some time after Jiyong had fallen asleep, and now here he was, passed out on his stomach and drooling into his silk pillowcase like nothing was wrong.

Well, Jiyong was still a little pissed off.

He peered over his shoulder at the older man, glaring when he wiggled his nose and smacked his lips. It was like he was trying to manipulate him even in his sleep. Jiyong didn’t care how cute his stupid face was, he was going to wake him up and give him another piece of his mind. He rolled over and put his left hand on Seunghyun’s shoulder, prepared to do just that, when that too-bright sunbeam that had woken him earlier hit something on his finger and his vision exploded in a myriad of rainbow-colored sparkles.

In shock, he jerked his hand back and covered his eyes. After a minute, when the dots behind his eyelids had disappeared, he realized there was something on the fourth finger of the hand that covered his face. Slowly, he pulled his hand away and turned it over. There, on his ring finger, was the most beautiful diamond band he’d ever seen. Jiyong could only stare at it, open-mouthed, watching the way the sun hit the facets of the stones and reflected the full spectrum of visible light onto his white sheets. He wasn’t even aware he was crying until he felt the gentle brush of Seunghyun’s fingers on his cheekbone.

“I’m sorry about last night, baby," he croaked, voice rough and thick with sleep. "I thought I was being funny, but I took it too far, and I hurt your feelings. It was all my fault. Can you forgive me?”

Jiyong sniffled and lifted his eyes from the ring to Seunghyun’s face, which wasn’t so stupid anymore. He sucked his bottom lip into his mouth and worried it with his teeth, trying to stem the flow of his tears as he nodded.

“And as long as you’re forgiving me, can you do one more thing?”

“What-” Jiyong’s voice cracked, and he giggled nervously and cleared his throat before trying again. “What?”

Seunghyun cupped Jiyong’s cheeks in his hands and thumbed the last of the tears away.

“Will you let me spend the rest of my life making you happy? Kwon Jiyong, will you marry me?”

Jiyong broke down then, and he didn’t care that Seunghyun had made fun of his pink plaid shirt, or that his face probably looked like a tomato; all that mattered in that moment was Seunghyun’s warm hands on his cheeks, the ring on his finger, and those four little words.

“Yes! Yes, of course I’ll marry you. Yes, yes, yes…”

He put his own hands on Seunghyun’s face and pulled him in for a kiss. Just a whisper of lips on lips, then cheeks, and forehead, eyelids, and then lips again. It was sweet, but it wasn’t enough. Soon pecks turned into open-mouthed kisses, and then Seunghyun’s tongue was in Jiyong’s mouth, sliding against his own and tracing the back of his teeth before the older man pulled away, sucking Jiyong’s kiss-swollen bottom lip between both of his and letting it go with an audible ‘pop’.

“Make love to me. Please, baby. God, I love you so much,” Jiyong babbled as Seunghyun and his lips made their way down his neck, across his prominent collarbones. When he nipped at the space between his neck and shoulder, Jiyong shuddered and silently thanked God that both of them slept naked.

“Please,” he moaned.

“Slow down, Jiyongie,” Seunghyun rumbled into his ear, and that velvety voice had Jiyong squirming on the bed, brain turned to mush.

“But I… I want… I- ow!”

Seunghyun bit Jiyong’s earlobe to get him to focus, and then he looked into the smaller man's eyes.

"This is the first time I'm going to make love to you as my fiancé. I want to do it right."

At any other time, Jiyong might have brushed off the sentiment in favor of flipping them over and having his way with Seunghyun, but not now. Not with that look on his face; the one that said he was being completely serious. His wide, dark eyes were a contradiction: hard but soft at the same time, smiling but not, and so full of love that Jiyong could feel it. His heart was pounding in his ears, and his skin was practically aflame with need, but Jiyong swallowed his protestations and nodded, raising a hand to trace Seunghyun's thick, black eyebrows.

"You are so beautiful. I don't think you’ll ever understand just how handsome you really are."

Seunghyun smiled at that and planted a kiss on his forehead.

"Even with this shaved head?" he asked. They'd both hated their military haircuts, but Seunghyun had once confessed to feeling exposed -ugly- without his hair, and Jiyong had spent the better part of a month convincing him otherwise.

"Especially with the shaved head. I like being able to see your eyes. You know, I'd wax poetic here, but I really, really want my fiancé to make love to me right now."

They writhed around on the silk sheets, taking their time, using lips and fingers and tongues to drive each other to the brink, but never over. When Seunghyun finally entered Jiyong, the younger man lost his breath, just like he did every time, just like he would every day for the rest of his life. The overwhelming emotion that followed the thought brought more tears to his eyes.

“I love you. I love you,” he cooed, pressing kisses to Seunghyun’s temple as his fiancé slid into him languidly, over and over again. The older man raised his head from Jiyong’s sweat-slickened shoulder and caught his lips with his own.

“Look at me,” Seunghyun whispered, cupping his lover’s face between his soft palms as he stilled his movement inside him.

Jiyong was so glad that their 2 years in the Army hadn’t put callouses on Seunghyun’s elegant, gentle hands.

He let his eyes flutter open, and he did what Seunghyun had asked. They stared into each other’s eyes, basking in the feeling of being content, completed; everything else faded away, and for a moment they were the only two people on Earth. When Seunghyun pushed forward again, finding that sensitive bundle of nerves inside of him, Jiyong felt his heart leap into his throat. His eyes snapped shut as his mouth fell open, and he wailed.

“Open your eyes, baby. Look at me,” Seunghyun cajoled, kissing him sweetly.

“I can’t. Ohhh… God, it’s too much,” Jiyong whimpered. His every nerve ending was on fire, and he thought if he looked into the liquid black pools of Seunghyun’s eyes he might just drown in them.

“Jiyong, open your eyes.” The older man growled the command into his ear, and Jiyong gasped as his eyelids drew back almost involuntarily at the seductive tone.

Seunghyun’s eyes had always been the most stunning thing about him, Jiyong thought. Oh, he loved every part of him, and no mistake… but his eyes. They were the most expressive, most beautiful onyx-colored eyes a man had ever been blessed with, and Jiyong found himself blushing, even to this very day, whenever he caught Seunghyun looking at him.

So when he opened his eyes and saw those inky black orbs staring right back at him, the orgasm that had been slowly building low in his belly swept over him like a tidal wave, and he was drowning, just like he knew he would. He never blinked though, never let his eyes roll into the back of his head like he so wanted to do, and Seunghyun surged into him again and again, kissing his lips and making low humming noises in his throat. Jiyong finally returned to his senses, and when he did, he realized Seunghyun’s eyes had snapped shut, his brow furrowed in pleasure and concentration as he neared oblivion.

“Come for me, baby. Let me feel you come inside me,” Jiyong coaxed, smoothing his lips over his fiancé’s forehead.

Seunghyun’s own release was accompanied by a stuttering of his hips, and Jiyong’s name falling from his mouth like a prayer.

Afterward they lay together, panting and grinning, fingers twined over Jiyong’s stomach. Seunghyun  propped himself up on an elbow and grasped Jiyong’s left hand, twisting the ring on his finger and admiring the way the early morning light caught the stones.

“I want to apologize again about last night. I don’t ever want to fight with you, Jiyong,” he said, raising the other’s fingers to his lips and kissing the backs of his knuckles. “Not ever.”

Jiyong propped himself up as well and kissed Seunghyun on the cheek, smiling affectionately at the man he loved more than words, the man who made him complete, the man who was going to be his husband.

“Baby, if that’s how you make it up to me, then let’s fight every day.”

Seunghyun laughed, the most adorable, dorky sound Jiyong had ever heard, and threw the sheets over their heads.
