So I should probably update. My dad is stable. The chemo did wonders. He's been married long enough that his husband will get social security when he dies, and he thinks he might be able to hold on for a while. -
One thing I don't look forward to?
The neverending cold season. I can't figure out if this is the same cold I had last week or a new and worse one. Ugh. -
The camel ride
So every year we go for a free camel ride that one of the fireworks stands always provides. Why camels and fireworks go together, I don't know. Anyway, in the past, Kiyan has freaked out about the idea of going on horse or camel rides without a parent. Daddy-less weekend
Just me and the kiddos this weekend. I've got a wicked cold, but other than that things have been going well. Pari was thrilled that I let her chop vegetables last night, but it didn't make her any more willing to eat gumbo. Kiyan had no such qualms, and Pari ate spanikopita instead. Ha! I might mention how awesome my daughter is, since I don't do it often enough. Yesterday I mentioned that her dad's birthday was coming up. She decided she really needed to get him a birthday present.
