The Rhythm is Gonna Get You

Sorry for not updating for so long. It's weird because a lot of times I don't update because there's nothing much going on to talk about. But lately there has been stuff I've wanted to talk about but I've been so busy with wedding planning, going out of town, computer issues, and working on a thousand different fest submissions, I haven't had time ( Read more... )

I never had dance lessons unfortunately, so I don't know if the price is reasonable or not. It does sound quite a lot to me, but like I said: I've no experience with those things.

I can only imagine how difficult it must be to cut down the wedding songs and how exhausting it can be at times... Hope, you'll be able to make the 65 song list, but I know exactly how difficult it is to cut things you already have cut down so much even further down.

Good luck.

Thanks!

We're probably going to make a list of about 90 or so. We'll want our bases covered in case that there's any kind of delays, which I'm sure that there probably will be since I heard that's unavoidable. Plus the DJ mentioned that some people are having so much fun that they end up asking them to stay a little longer, so if we want an extra half hour we'll have songs picked out.

After stressing a little yesterday, I think I've calmed down about it. We're close to 100 songs now, so I'll just have to be merciless and there will have to be some compromises between the songs he really wants and I really want.

It's a bit time consuming, but probably one of the less stressful aspects of the planning.

After stressing a little yesterday I've decided to just be as merciless as possible cutting the few songs we have left and there will have to be some compromises.

Wow, sounds like planning the wedding music is a huge thing!

$45 would be a reasonable price for an hour-long dance lesson here, but I do live in a very expensive city, so I'm not sure if my opinion is very helpful. I hope you guys can figure out a routine you'll enjoy. :)

Thanks for your opinion. :)

It is a huge part of it, but other than the last couple of days, it hasn't been too stressful and mostly fun.

Hm... you alread narrowed it down to 200. If you really can't choose, give them numbers and then just draw 65 of them blindly. Win/Win because you will definitely have songs you like:)

Thanks for the suggestion. Mike suggested that we just write the list down and give it to friends and have them narrow it down. I probably wouldn't love that idea.

I think, since we've now gotten it close to 100, I'm just going to get more merciless about what to cut and we'll have to make some compromises.
