Seventh Circle of Hell

I'm not really big on shopping. I might enjoy it more if I ever had money to freely shop, but even if I did I don't think I'd enjoy the act of shopping very much. I can do it for a little while, but if I'm out there for more than an hour or so I start to get annoyed - especially if I'm there against my will - and just want to go home. That's with ( Read more... )

Buying shoes online is always tricky because you just can't know for sure if they're going to fit you properly. But I guess if you don't like shopping then its the best decision. I hope you find the perfect shoes for your wedding babe!

Despite all the trouble with the shoe itself and the fact that you maybe don't wanna spend twice as much money for shoes... why don't you try a small heel shoe for the ceremony and then change to flats for the reception ( ... )

Buying two shoes has been suggested to me before, but like you pointed out, since I'm having trouble with just finding one shoe, I'm not sure I want to look for two. I think if I am going to go with a heel something like a 3/4 heel or slightly longer is what I'd go with.

Thanks for the links! Some cut shoes on there.

You have the same problems with flats? I thought it was only with shoes who need to be a bit tighter like heels.

But good luck with finding something nevertheless.

Yeah, I have had problems with the flats I've tried. Most of the edges of the toe part cut right into my damaged toe, so I have to find a shoe with bigger toe area.

Thanks.

I don't mind shopping, but prefer to be on my own if I'm going to enjoy it ( ... )

Hee! Love your cousin's sneakiness. My mom's too nosy and I probably couldn't get away with keeping it a secret from her, but she's just going to have to live with whatever I decide.

Thanks for the advice!

Oh my! Please don't wear heels to your wedding if you live in sneakers.

I bought two pairs of flats online for my wedding. I wore one, it was the right choice. I'd send you mine but I'm at least a full size bigger than you in the foot.

I went to a wedding where the bride wore gold glitter converse hi-tops, and I've been to one where the bride wore sparkly red chucks. Don't let them dictate heels to you. I guarantee you will be barefoot or in flip-flops within hours and that's a much worse look than a pretty pair of flats.

Etc etc... google "flat bridal shoes" and go from there.

I strongly believe that your wedding day is not the day to be trying new shoe styles.

Mike is definitely with you. He's pretty adamant that I don't try heels for the wedding cause he knows I'm not comfortable wearing them.

Thanks for the offer to send me your shoes. :)

Thanks for the links. I've checked out the flats on pinterest before. I found a lot of really cute ones that I like. Now whether they'd fit my wide feet is the question.

I sometimes take 6 1/2 and sometimes 7 according to the design of the shoe too and I wouldn't buy online. I wore high heels for my wedding because they went best with the length of the dress, which is also something to consider. I think dunderklumpen suggestion of small heel for the ceremony and flats for the reception is a good one, but whatever you do practice wearing the shoes with the dress.

If I go with a heel, it's definitely going to be a small one. And if I do get a heel, I'll practice in it. Thanks for the advice.
