My supervisor told me suddenly that in fact he's going to be abroad for the two weeks before my dissertation is due, which means he can only read it and discuss it with me if I hand it in in three days time. Writing a dissertation is more work than I could have ever imagined. I can see how you can get addicted to it. I could work on mine 24/7, if only I didn't need to eat, or sleep, or have friends, or exercise. it's great :)

I'm writing about Schistosomiasis, still, and doing a race against time to get my Excel tables sorted out by next week, not to mention the 10 000 words I need to write. My whole street is full of posters for the upcoming elections (I can't vote because I haven't done something 5 years ago when I was at LSE, where nobody could tell me what to do, ( Read more... )

There are few things I like better now than doing yoga. It doesn't even give you the horrible guilty feeling that you get from aimlessly browsing the Internet when you should be writing your dissertation... Great :)
I hate my dissertation but that's ok.
