Science works, my thesis is no longer a flaming pile of rubble, and I might manage to hit my due date tomorrow!

Ditto! And you also made me feel like I hadn't broken my make-friends-ness, which I feel like sometimes in Minnesota. Because, srsly, went to friend's wedding, came back with awesome new friend! (You are also the first person to whom I think I have told the ENTIRE LONG STORY of the Eric situation in writing-- like, I talked about it constantly for a while, but not in any linear, coherent fashion. I don't know what that means other than you're awesome.)

I like the idea of being made of awesome, including blood! Perhaps it will alleviate my fear of needles. "They're not drawing blood... they're drawing AWESOME."

(Actually, fun fact: yesterday in talking about someone who made me cranky, I said 'Dude's so privileged he bleeds diamonds.' So apparently, people are made of inanimate stuff ALL THE TIME.)

You are smart, and a good writer, and super bright, and you have so much nerdiness in common with me. For example! I too completely agree that Sandman/Inception is AMAZING as a crossover fandom. I like spending time with you and value your opinion on stuff. I apologize if this is disjointed because I am typing it while on the phone.

My favorite story about your memory and honesty was that, two plus years after being at camp together, you sent the sweater that I'd loaned you back to me, when we discovered that your brother and I were at the same college. I hadn't interacted with you in all that time, and had totally given up about the sweater- and then suddenly after winter break, there it was. It was a level of "wow, I still have a place in her memory" that really touched me.

I really like that we met up at Edward's college, because I feel like I've gotten to know you a lot better through LJ than I ever did at camp. You're thoughtful, in every sense of the word-- you care about others and reach out to them (I feel like you're always paying attention to what I say, which is rare and immensely valuable), and you seem to think carefully about everything you do, which I really admire. You are good people.
