OK, usually I ignore all news about Britney Spears because I just don't care. However, this about her losing custody is a little bit different.
I still don't care a whit about her, but I know some people do. And I am glad a celebrity lost custody of her kids for the same reasons other people do -- not obeying the Court. She was ordered to do drug ( Read more... ) -
AC Update
We ended up not replacing the AC unit, because he was able to fix it (much cheaper) pretty quickly. Yay! So the house should be cooler tonight.

Expensive week
1. Of all the weeks for our air conditioning to die. It's supposed to be 101 today, and is humid. It's almost 80 now, and not even 7AM. I slept in the basement with a fan last night. Cell Phone Survey
SO ... I'm (finally) thinking about getting a new cell phone. My contract is expired, so I'm free to go to any provider and any type of phone.
What kind of phone do you use? Do you like it? What do you like/hate about your phone and your provider? -
Weekend and beginning of week
I am bored out of my mind today. Have spent the entire day getting caught up on Quickbooks. It's not that I don't have other stuff to do (like work for clients), just that this never gets done so it takes a whole day once I crack down on it! Madeline (my cat) is finally going in for surgery tomorrow. She's been having problems for a while, sore joints and back pain, and other nasty things. I've been trying to take care of it, but when she jumped on the bed and peed red on the clean cotton shirts, I decided it's definitely time. Principal's Office
Got to sit outside the Chief Judge's office today, copying someone else's Motion for my own use. Then I got to go in and talk to her, so she could frown at my work and ask questions, and ask why things were missing. I really had the feeling I was sitting in the Principal's office. -

Harry Potter rant
Is it just me, or does it take longer and longer to prepare for the next Harry Potter release every time there's a new one? Forgive me, but I just couldn't remember the details of Book 6 so I'm reading it again this week. Oh, and we repainted the bathroom (finally) over the weekend.
