Minor F-List Cut

Nov 03, 2010 08:42

I've always believed in the idea of "friends over fandom."  But I suppose when all people have in common is a small section of fandom, then "friends" is a word loosely applied here.  I've noticed, that since I've become a diehard Chlollier, some Chlarkers, who have been on my f-list since I first joined LJ have de-friended me. That's cool, I get ( Read more... )

I confess to be a multi shipper. I really watched Smallville since Season 6 and I liked Lois/Oliver very much at this Time but after I saw "Siren" I know Chlollie will Rock Smallville. I never really like Jimmy/Chloe or Davis/Chloe but if someone likes them it's okay.
Do what you want and like what you want but please be respectful if I not like what you like or the other way around.

What I want to say is even if you, what I not hope, sometimes doesn't like Chlollie anymore I will stay as your Friend here on lj

Being a multi-shipper is great! You have so much to watch for. I don't mind that at all. I agree as long as people are respectful, there's no problem. Fandom should be fun.

I will always love Chlollie, no matter what happens to them on the show. *hugs*

I am a Chloe multi-shipper but I have to admit to enjoying the Chlollie more then I ever enjoyed the potential Chlark.

Of course Chlex will always own my soul, so please don't defriend me :):) (Just kidding!)

No love, I don't mind multi-shippers. You guys actually have more to enjoy! LOL

I'm just tired of all the hate negativity everywhere I go in fandom. You're fine. *hugs*

Word to everything you said -- hatred and drama are awful! Hello, Gen!!!! *waves*

I've been MIA, and I woke up this morning and really missed Chlollie, it was such an odd feeling. I want Chloe back, and I want them in scenes together already! I think I need to sit down and write fic or something. Also, I just started watching Merlin and I am in love with A/G!!!!

I'm so glad to see you around. I've missed you!

I know fandom can be a touchy place to be, but I really have no problem with anyone loving other ships or things about a show. I'm just so weary of all the hate and negativity. Of course people have a right to their opinions, and as long as others are respectful I have no problem with it if those opinions are different from my own. We're all fans of the same show. A little respect would go a long way.

Yay! So glad you've started watching Merlin. Something else we can fangirl over! :)

*CLINGS*

My Smallville fandom mantra is simple. Chloe > All. I do find myself feeling a little adrift even in the Chloe fandom now, which is sad.

I know what you mean. I'm not sure where I fit in other than being a Chloe/Oliver/Chlollie fan. Other ships really don't bother me. I'm just tired of negativity, and it's everywhere it seems.

I've been good. Very busy with work. I've been missing my Merlin fandom lately, and mostly lurking but plan to be around more. :)

sometimes I miss the good old time when there was only a handful of chlollie fans. I loved seeing your cute first fanarts & read the first chlollie fics by Fina. chlarkers & cloisers were in "war" & we were in our heaven place :)
but that's the problem, when something becomes popular, the hating grows too.

But no disheartening, the chlollie lj comm is an awesome place & chlolliers are amazing. I'm happy to be in this fandom full of talents.(the same with A/G)

This. It was so easy to have a safe haven back then. We still have our safe havens, but venturing out of them can be scary. The hate I see is appalling.

LOL. Right?! Much as I'm grateful for the influx of fans and therefore fanfiction, I frequently long for the pre-canon days.

Back then the vibe of Chlolliedom was different. True Chlolliedom was established by our early fanfiction authors! I don't mean to sound ungrateful that we get fantastic onscreen chemistry, just that sometimes it's disheartening to see my "happy ship" not so happy anymore.

But you're right - there are still awesome people out there, and I am grateful for those who are my bright spots in the murkiness that can be fandom.
