Halloween crafts
My friends and I are heading to a craft show next month and plan to do mostly Halloween stuff. I'm doing some necklaces, scrapbooks, altered books and these. It's reverse painting on glass over scrapbook paper. I really like the way they turned out.

Shelf Reading Party
Just got home from our annual shelf reading party. For non-library folk, that's where the staff gets together, orders pizza, puts on music and works for three hours after the library closes making sure the shelves are in order. I got my hands on Steampunk Debutante!!!
Graphic 45 is my fave scarpbook paper line. I made a Halloween In Wonderland altered scrapbook last week and this week a friend gave me some of the new steampunk line. So of course I had to start another book!

O Pioneers!
Okay, I avoided this book like the plague in high school but I had to read it for our book club this month. I thought it would be awful but it was actually pretty good. I mean, you can tell it's a very early novel (turn of the century) when they didn't write a lot of action (no sex, blood or vampires either) but the characters were very ( Read more... ) -

Ick........
A heat index of 108 almost makes me long for a wind chill of -40. Living in a region with a temperature spread of more than 150 degrees is very, very hard on a person.
Theses were taken 4 months ago - I need a reminder of how much I hate winter too.

ADAM!!!
Went to see Adam Lambert at the Midland in downtown Kansas City, Mo last night! He was amazing. Best concert ever! We did our stalking thing but only got to say "hi" to him and get a pix as he scurried back onto his bus.
